It's common to hear of someone heading out to Napa for a vacation to visit the multitude of wineries that fill the Californian valley. Craft breweries are getting in on the action by promoting the idea of Beer Tourism. If you're a fan of craft beer, think about taking a trip with breweries in mind. Visit them and local restaurants just like you would on a wine trip.
An easy road trip to try new breweries for Hoosiers is People's Brewing in Lafayette, Indiana. Just a short drive up I-65 and you'll find yourself at People's 1000 sq ft taproom on 9th Street in Lafayette. You can taste the 6-8 beers on tap that include their year round beers as well as seasonal offerings.
People's beer is available to take home in growlers and 6-packs giving you the opportunity to enjoy their beer at home. They offer tours of the brewery where you can learn about their process to create unique hand crafted beer. People's staff enjoy educating visitors and allowing them to discover for themselves what they like in a beer.
Looking to try People's closer to home? Visit their booth at Fishers On Tap on Saturday, February 23rd. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
